Heart of the ValleysCottage with log fire, hot tub with gazebo, barbeque, children's rubber surfaces playground and bike lock up for 7 bikes.  

For 6 / 7 people.   3 Bedrooms 2 bath/shower-Rooms

Go through the Front Porch and leave the rest of the world behind - Sleeps 6/7. ''266'' is Cosy and wood beamed.

It has a Kingsize Master Bedroom and 2 rooms which can be Twin or Superkingsize, {Cot/highchair available if needed.} Bathroom PLUS a separate Shower Room.

New, fully equipped kitchen, with a cosy living room with dining area, featuring a stone wall with a set in log fire. Retaining the beautiful original feature black stone winding staircase to upstairs.

Large private patio with a Hot Tub, Cyprus Style Stone Barbecue and outside log fire. Large Gazebo over hot tub area so as to be able to enjoy the facilities all year round. Large rubber/resin all/weather floored playground with 2 climbing frames, swings and 2 slides. Plus 2 smaller slides. Covered bicycle lock-up with bike-wash. Lock-up is also suitable for surfboard, beach equip etc.

Stays of 5 nights and less add £50 to quote ~ Free Wifi ~ Free Parking outside. Sorry no pets.

Public Transport Directions

Train or bus to Aberdare Town.  Bus 5 minutes to "266" - Bus stop opposite property.

If you're walking from the Train Station:-
Cross the main road from the train using the overhead bridge or the pedestrian crossing, this takes you straight to the Aberdare Bus Station.

You’ll need to catch a Pontypridd bus / Or get a taxi from the taxi-rank next to the Bus Station. {It shouldn’t cost more than £5 to “266” Cardiff Road.}

Ask to get off the bus at Aberaman Snooker hall.   The Snooker Hall is on the right., and “266” is just past the Snooker Hall on the right, before the King’s Head Pub.   

Road Directions

Coming to Aberdare from the Cardiff / M4 Direction:-

Directions – Take the A470, after passing Pontypridd, you’ll come to the large Abercynon Roundabout.  Take the first turn-off onto the A4059 and drive towards Aberdare.   After passing through the Mountain Ash Traffic Lights, quite a way down the road you'll pass a petrol station on the left and lots of car sales places on the left and right, then there’s a small roundabout, take the first left off this.     On the next roundabout you’ll see an industrial estate on the left and Kentucky Fried and Asda's on the right, take first turning off this roundabout. 

You’ll approach the next roundabout up a slight gradient, take 2nd turn-off towards Aberaman.   The main road takes you around a bad right hand bend, keep going – you’ll see Shephard’s Chemist on the right., after this just about 500 yards down the road is a left bend, large pub {King’s Head} on the left, then “266” is the next Property.   All painted white with a small Porch, and a wall around the front. You can freely park on the road opposite, or sometimes you can park in the Pub forecourt. You have arrived.    

Coming to Aberdare from the Swansea Direction:-

Directions - Drive towards Aberdare.   After passing through the Hirwaun roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Aberdare {watching the speed trap on your left!}

Next are traffic lights – straight on, then a small roundabout at the top of a hill, take the first left off this.    This takes you down a slope to the next roundabout.   There’s usually someone selling snacks on the left there.   Take the 2nd exit {not counting the snack layby} towards Aberdare.   Through the next small roundabout, pass Tesco on your right, then Mc. Donald’s then straight through the Mc. Donald’s roundabout.    The next roundabout is bigger, go straight through, you’ll see a pedestrian bridge go over this road.   The next roundabout is massive take the 2nd turn-off towards Aberaman.    Follow this road for about 3 minutes., you’ll come around a bad left hand curve in the road, there’s a Church up on the right, then a left turn down to the shops, the Snooker Hall is on the right., and “266” is just past the Snooker Hall on the right, before the King’s Head Pub.   

Coming to Aberdare from the Merthyr Direction:-

Directions - Drive towards Aberdare.   Turn left at the top of the mountain by the Large Hotel type building, down through Llwydcoed.   {watching the speed trap on your right after passing the red brick church on the corner!}  Take the first turning off the roundabout in Trecynon towards Aberdare.  

Through the next small roundabout, pass Tesco on your right, then Mc. Donald’s then straight through the Mc. Donald’s roundabout.    The next roundabout is bigger, go straight through, you’ll see a pedestrian bridge go over this road.   The next roundabout is massive take the 2nd turn-off towards Aberaman.    Follow this road for about 3 minutes., you’ll come around a bad left hand curve in the road, there’s a Church up on the right, then a left turn down to the shops, the Snooker Hall is on the right., and “266” is just past the Snooker Hall on the right, before the King’s Head Pub.
