FOOD Adventure has teamed up with BBC Food and Farming Best Producer for the UK 2016/17 Charcutier Ltd to offer some uniquely tasty opportunities to learn about butchery and charcuterie in 2017.
Wales-based Food Adventure creates inspirational and unique tours, classes and experiences with some of the best food and drink producers, chefs and restaurants across the Principality. This series of classes with Charcutier Ltd - which can only be booked through Food Adventure - is just one example of what this innovative and exciting food tourism business has to offer.

Food Adventure's next butchery masterclass with Charcutier Ltd in 2017 is Nose to Tail: an offal masterclass will take place on Sunday, March 19 in the beautiful Welsh village of Penderyn. This class will be led by Charcutier’s Illtyd Llyr Dunford, whose family have been rearing, curing and air drying meats at their farm in the Gwendraeth Valley for centuries.
For just £115 participants will enjoy 5 hours of butchery, including learning how to make their own pate and black pudding. Lunch is included in the price and the value of the take home products you will make is £40.
All materials for the class will be provided, but please note, you must be 18 years or older to book this class as sharp knives will be used.
Penderyn Distillery, the home of Welsh whisky, is opposite Penderyn community centre, the venue for Nose to Tail: an offal masterclass, and a tour of the distillery, including a tasting session, can also be arranged. There is also a range of superb accommodation local to the venue at the foot of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park.
